Welcome to Rainbow Resort when spring awakens nature!

At Rainbow Resort, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature surrounding the resort.  Explore nature in the big woods by hiking, biking, or jogging on our 14 miles of onsite nature trails or the numerous forest trails in the area. On the south side of Little Bemidji Lake, the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge spans over 40,000 acres and offers incredible bird-watching opportunities. A short drive away is Itasca State Park, boasting over 30,000 acres of pristine wilderness, including the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River.

Fishing enthusiasts will delight in having access to three picturesque, spring fed lakes by boat.  Little Bemidji Lake, Elbow Lake & Johny Cake Lake are at the headwaters of the Ottertail River and provide over 1,600 acres of clear water with depths up to 90 feet and 20 miles of shoreline. You can try your hand at catching Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Panfish, Crappie and more. Little Bemidji Lake is safe for small fishing boats, making it ideal for a serene day on the water.  Just a couple miles away down river is Many Point Lake noted for its Muskie fishing.  In spring, you can see the fish along the shoreline from the lodge's scenic view of the lake.  We have fishing boats & motors and pontoons for rent.

Rainbow Resort provides an array of on-site activities for your enjoyment. Explore our 14 miles of onsite hiking and biking nature trails right from the door of your cabin. We have two observation decks along the trails providing scenic views of wetlands, ponds & forests.  Families can relax on the swimming beach, children can have fun at the playground, and friendly competition awaits on the volleyball court. Challenge yourself on the disc golf course.  Explore the Otter Tail River channel between the lakes and the hidden bays and inlets with our canoes, kayaks & paddle boards.
